some time ago i coppied a karaoke disc(sunfly)
cdg \ cda files. carnt remember what cdr coppies this format. i also would like to know where i can download thase files if possible up to ones with chart latest songs.
(good tip)
my old sega saturn plays these discs no need for expensive karaoke machine. found some use for an old console for all those people who have budding popstars in their familys.

You need a cd reader/writer that is cd+g comliant. Lets just say that your cdrom drive D can do both of these. Run CD Clone and place your original in drive D. Choose Read to Image file. Select drive D. It will tell you down the right hand side of your units capabilities and whether it can do cd+g or not. If it can then proceed. Choose speed x4 or x8 and tick Read Subchannel Data from Audio track. Give the file a name and a place to save it to on your hard drive.
When finished take the disk out. Leave CD Clone running. Put the blank in to drive D. Select Write from image file. Choose the file you just saved. Choose either speed x4 or x8 again and select RAW DAO. Buffer underun and Close last session. Thats about it. This is how to do a karaoke disk copy. Converting cd+g to Bin and then burning is more complicated. If you need to know how then let me know.
The most likliest place to get cd+g files is using IRC which can be very complicated, it is also usualy done on a one for one basis. Sunfly karaoke disks are available for around £25 per disk in the shops which contain 15 tracks per disk on average. I have the full Sunfly collection, 187 disks plus about another 2,000 various tracks. Most of them are in cd+g format, mainly because it saves on storage space. There is also software available that allows you to play cd+g format karaoke on your computer. Let me know if you want it. I have been enjoying karaoke for a number of years now and I have noticed that recently it is becoming very popular with the younger generation.
