I bought a renault clio for £1500 on the 4th of this month (july)
2 weeks later the timing belt snaps (gutted)
so i ring the garage up and tell him i think the timing belt has snapped,
to which he has said get the car back to him and he will get his mechanic to have a look at it.
So i get the car back to garage which costs me £80 to get it towed there.
he has just rang me saying it will cost £500 to sort out and as a good will gesture he will pay £200
towards repairs leaving me with a £300+£80 tow bill for repairs to the car (NOT HAPPY)
he says no warranty will cover a timing belt
anyway i ask him for my money back and he has said no
what are my rights for a refund?
is it just sold as seen from a garage forecourt?
any legal advice/help please
