Help-new ide interface

Help!!! just got one of the new ide interfaces and about to install,but-

following the picture guides here

and there are 2 wires that solder to the legs of 2 components on the main board (for 27v and gnd).However on my box those components are not present although everything else looks the same.So do I solder to the indicated points on the board or is there an alternative point?
 
There is no need to solder anything at all

Did you also order the hdd mounting kit?

You can choose via jumper if you want power via modemport or the 27v line of the mainboard.
If 0.7A is enough from the modem port for your harddisk, you don't have to solder the connection for the 27v line.
The power consumption of a 3.5 inch hdd is normally too high for both options and there is no adapted 12v line..

thanks for the replies guys,would have helped if there were instructions on the suppliers website to go with the pictures!
Fitted a 100gb laptop hd and so far so good....doing some more testing right now
 
nice to see he is putting in an sd card slot as well now.
