We had an old timer (one with the little pins) to switch on/off hot water and central heating
We've always heated the water twice a day in the morning and evening but we just had the British Gas Hive system installed. The engineer says its best to leave the hot water on all day as it is more economical to replenish what is used rather than heating from start to finish.
We don't really need hot water during the day as we are out apart from weekends hence why we've always just heated twice a day rather than leaving it on all day
Any recommendations and also for central heating, is it best to leave it on low all day or just heat up from cold when needed
