HD recorder

Is it possible to buy a hard drive recorder to record from a cable box (samsung 2100).
My uncles after one as hes sick of missing movies when hes workin nights!
but for some reason he dosnt want a dvd recorder.
It needs to be very simple to use so his missus can use it (and i mean VERY simple!)

Ive been after one of these m8 but i think he'll have too buy a dvd recorder with a built in HDD too record from cable,i was guner buy a freeview one but then found out u can only record from the freeview and not anything connected too it

i'll tell him he'll have to stick with a dvd recorder or get a day job! lol

Why not look at the Dreambox 600, with an internal harddrive. That will record all your cable programmes.

Depends if he wants to record premium channels - most HDD recorders will record via the scart but Ebro suggestion of a 600 can work with all channels
