OS hd audio driver

can anyone help me get this driver all i know is it is a via technologies hd audio driver 6.0.01.1550.have tried several places but cant seem to get it they either all want money for download or there is some other crap attached to it.via technologies doesnt list it either. for xp.thanks.

Download a small app called CPU-z it'll tell you what motherboard you have. Then google it from there

here you go mate although you didn't say whether it was for 64 or 32 bit so I assumed as it was XP you'd probably be running 32.

You can try searching for its device ID from properties.

Good call spectre, if you could do that, we can try and figure out what it is, is this a new format you are just setting up? It could be a chipset driver or built in vga driver your not using maybe.

If you right click on the device with the error and select properties and then the details tab you can select "hardware ID" from the drop-down list.

first hit in google searching for your motherboard is the Asus site, you can Intel chipset and VIA audio drivers here,
