Guitar problem in game on G Hero Legends of Rock 3

I bought for Christmas a Rockband Instruments set, Lego Rock band and Guitar Hero Legends of Rock III.

All the instruments work fine on Lego Rock Band and I understand you can only use the guitar on GH LOR III. The guitar works fine when setting the game up, but when you go to play the game on a song, only 2 of the coloured buttons work and one in the wrong position.

Any ideas as this is doing my head in big time.

You could try pulling the guitar apart and re joining it. Used to have this problem with mine and it was a problem with the connections when you join the 2 bits of the guitar together.

The strange thing is it works fine with the Lego GH game, just not this other one.

Are there compatability issues with different games and guitars?
