Ive seen Gold Cards advertised as automatically updating.

Is this true, or do you still need to punch the codes in?

Yes this is true, they're not the most stable card around, but they work.

In my experience, the Secanix 4.5AR code has been rock solid throughout the ECMs

Sparky, can you please tell me where i can get the Secanix 4.5AR code as my DBMG2 card doesn't like the ECM's in my Philips box but not so bad in my Pioneer one. Thanks Sparky or any one else who can help.

You can generate the necessary pic and eeprom hexes with Cr0w's excellent pbm calculator, available from the download area.

The secanix code is on my site in the downloads section, you'll need a PPUA and MK01 for it though.
