If you wish emarald, you could read on up 'whiteness' theory - which is not a biological distinction but a social one, which implies in western society a cultural normality.
It is rare that the term 'white' is used as a description in such cases as this newspaper article, as white is a hegemonic characteristic of the west, certainly 'England'.
I actually do believe that this was a feeble attempt by The Sun to free itself of its previous implied racism, by attempting a level playing field vis a vis colour and description.
Srgberian has an interesting theory. He inverts my proposal, and creates an invisible black father. I am not so sure.
I think The Suns' attempt ultimately fails. It's readership will take from it that even 'white' young girls are part of this epidemic of young pregnancy in the UK today. Although to be fair, I would submit that white inner city poverty stricken girls are the MO for this anyway.
