Germany 4-0 Australia

Yeah, the World Cup has officially just sparked into life. Germany, despite their tender years, are going to be a force in South Africa this summer, and it is going to take a very good team to beat them.

Never ever rule out the Krauts, they did start the last world cup well and got to the SF, even though press said they were sh1te before it began.

A good solid performance by them but it is early days and the Ozzies are sh1te anyway.

Wouldn't you like to know?
They played well but the Aussies made them look good. Australia were so open and were getting torn apart with ease.

Still you can only beat what is put infront of you but i will wait to see the Germans up against Serbia and Ghana the 2 better teams in that group lets face it that was a very weak Aussie team.

hence why i said the commentators are full of shit, they dont look past the end of there nose, on green "its not that bad we didnt lose" **** off idiots if we finish second in our group and ze germans top theres which it looks like they will then thats our first knockout game.

green doesnt drop a bollock we should have cruised the group and we'd be playing the other crap in germanys group.

easy run or hard run to try get further in the cup, green could have just made it the hard route.

It was a weak Aussie team but I felt the Germans could have stepped up a gear if they needed too! Given England's defensive problems with King and Ferdinand I think their tournament is all but over! You've got to beat the best to be the best and I think England's depleated defense will struggle against teams like Germany & Holland who have tall strong strikers.

Germany normanly are slow starters to tournaments but they were straight out the the blocks last night.

before last nights game these 5 players have only a few caps between them

Goalkeeper 5 caps
Mesut OEZIL 10 caps
Thomas MUELLER 2 caps
Holger BADSTUBER 2 caps
Sami KHEDIRA 5 caps

so think it's a loads of ball when some people say that Hart, Dawson, Adam Johnson (who did not make the final squad) are too inexperienced

Shame we can't take a leaf out the Germans books, Oezil & Mueller played exceptionally well last night and that game could have been 8 - 0. they just were so more relaxed than the Engalnd squad who seem to be ruled with an iron fist

So people are saying the Ozzies are shite....... think they have more players in their sqaud playing in better leagues than the yanks and I think they even beat the yanks a while ago

but still early days you never know

Given the last England match, injuries as well as other team's performances if England are going to stand any chance at all they are all going to have to start playing for each other out there on that pitch. No two ways about it.

Germany looked a useful team last night, the Argies look dangerous, and I think the Spanish will be epic. And you can see them all playing for one another - nobody can say the same about England and that's a rather big problem. Wingers playing shit balls in and trying to beat a man repeatedly, Rooney hiding, Heskey fluffing oh and Lampard in our last match near the end you could see him instead of playing Rooney in for a shot he plays it wide to Lennon and points for the ball to be returned just so he can have a shot. Greedy **** and that's exactly what I'm talking about. We'll get out of our group I'm sure and we'll probably piss all over the Algerians on Friday but if we're to get a result from the good teams then we need to cut that shit out and knuckle down. Otherwise we haven't got a prayer.

Let's just hope Capello knows it didn't work last time out and does the right thing for the rest of the tournament and has Dawson and Joe Cole on the pitch with someone else in goal who has strong hands and a vocal presence. He probably won't though....and I'll bet Carragher ends up costing us big time.
