Gamecube Broadband Adapter question/help

Does anybody know the answer to my following question?

I'm planning on buying a Gamecube Broadband Adapter off ebay or amazon soon so I can play Fantasy Star online. However most of the Broadband Adapters I've seen advertised will be imported from the USA ; does any one know if these adapters will work on a UK gamecube console because I've been told the UK uses PAL whereas the USA uses NTSC
