because the openbox s10 is linux based reciever is it possible to use the FTP function open up the folders and edit the newcamd or cccam files as in the TM800HD?

if not, how do we input CWS or C:Line?

thank you

It's not linux as such as closed source.
But it's possible on S9 so should be ok on S10
Thanks to Laurals53
Once unzipped, run the program [STBHD_LAN_MM] and set the Box IP,
if you don't know the Box IP, use the remote control and click
Menu -> Network Setup -> and copy the IP Address as that is the Box IP.
Now Enter the Password, the default Password is [0 0 0 0]
Check that the receiver is ON, if it is, you can now click the Login button.
Once you have established a connection, you will see two windows.
The one on the left in red. that one is the Local File List
[this is where the files are located that wish to transfer to the receiver]
To add files to the Local File List, first open the STBHD_LAN_MM folder,
and then simply place the files you wish to transfer in the root.
The one on the right in blue, that one is the Box File List [the receiver]
To transfer a file from the Local File List, in this example it will be the Softcam.key,
click on the CCcam plug file, and then click on the Softcam.key file,
and in the bottom window, the contents of the file will be displayed,
also any relevant transfer details will also be displayed in the window.
Now click on the bottom arrow > to transfer the file to the Box File List,
it will then be auto transfered to the correct location for you.

Thank you mate will give it a go when my reciever arrives, i am sure this will be the same for Newcamd list, sorry to ask all these questions i haven't got the box yet it's on order and i am sure it will become 2nd nature once i have gone through it a couple of times.

One other question, is it possible to run both cccam and newcamd files then switch between them as and when?

You need to reboot when you change from 1 n line to 1 c line.
You can run both at same time or individually though.
You could have 3 c lines and 2 n lines working at same time, but if you choose to turn one off, once deselected from server list the box neeeds rebooting to take effect.

Thats great Manic01 so it's a pretty simple process then, just a little rebooting to swap between files.

One final question , what is the password for STBHD-LAN?

actually thanks to stbhd.com where the file originated.
Not true ftp, uses tcp/udp to transfer.

they hate me over there and I like being precise.
some people see the word ftp and think they can use a browser or ftp client to get in.

So then i load c:line on to usb stick insert it and it will read it right? is it that simple?

If you want to load by usb
Thanks to Edogg
menu >>toolbox>>Upgrade by usb >> Upgrade mode Misc files>> select and upgrade CCcam.cfg press [yellow] when done exit exit down to globe >>CCcam client setup >>Manage config files >>CCcam>cfg select your line press ok or [green] exit exit exit [POWER] then turn your box back on it should connect to CCcam

Thats great but how do i put the c:line on to usb? i know copy and paste but do i leave it in it's note book file format?

You must have it on a dodgy tp.
Have you got latest fw on box?
Load a reliable channel lsit.
To stop reboot, power off and remove coax.
Reboot and delete offending tp channels and tp.
The refix coax and reboot.
