I've never been keen on the Phillips white plastic remotes, so when they announced these new switches I thought I'd give one a try. They're expensive (about £55 on Amazon) so are a luxury rather than an essential. But can't the same be said for Hue anyway? I got the anthracite switch. Easy to set up through the app and easy to configure the buttons. There are no batteries because it magically generates its own power as you press a button, but that means it doesn't aways work at first press.

Are they worth £55? No not really. Will I get another one? Probably, especially if the colour/material choice improves.

this switch can work alone?
I have to get some hob for connecting?
