Fox International is planning to launch its youth lifestyle channel Fuel across Europe later this year.
The channel, which aims to hit the airwaves in the last quarter of 2004, features extreme sports and music programming targeted at 13-24 year olds.
Discussions with platforms in the UK and other parts of Europe are underway with a launch for the channel in Italy already agreed.
Fuel was first launched in the US in July 2003 and in Australia in March 2004.
Marina Williams, vice president Fox International Channels Europe, told Media Week: “Fuel has been well received in the US and is rapidly expanding its distribution domestically.
“The first international launch has been in Australia where the channel is also proving to be hugely popular.”
