Agree, if its a brake like... get a new one, fit, bleed and test. if you do not know how to, or are not 110% DO NOT do it.

What area are you in ?

may be sould of been more clear in my first post ime onabout exhaust flexi sorry for the confusion

Is it brake pipe or exhaust flexi?

if its brakes there is no temp repair

if its exhaust you could cut flexi out and weld in a section in for a temp fix

lol cheers for the info its just realy load atm and aint got much cash to get it fixed for a few weeks thanks :)

just thinking would metal heat proof tape not do till i get come money to sort it ?

Or if you want an even quicker one a beer can some exhaust gum and a couple of clamps ;)

Don't ask :)

part from welding a new bit in there this would be the best way to fix it for a few pounds ,done this on one of my old cars past the mot with it on and stayed there for a few years until i sold it

any tin can, an exhaust bandage and a couple of big jubilee clips. Use the bandage to seal the leak, split the can and wrap it round everything and secure it with the jubilee clips.

When you said ripped I assumed a rubber hose.
