Hey everyone we take our FireTV out camping/on long road-trips and while it works well, sometimes slower Internet can have glitches etc

I was wondering if anyone here has found a way to improve caching? I'd be OK with a 30sec delay at the start of the show to allow it to just buffer in the background that would be awesome and result in near-zero delays?

My devices are all stock at the moment. Ideas?

Hi

At a guess, removing unused apps might help.

Also clearing the cache from each app ( I think it needs to be done individually)

  • Start up your Firestick and head over to the main menu
  • Go to Settings
  • Select Applications and then Manage Installed Applications
  • You will now get a list of the installed application. Select one, and you will see information such as file size, data storage, and cache size.
  • Go down and select Clear Cache. All temporary files for that application will be deleted.
Take care not to hit Clear Data as this may remove important info from your app!

Hope that helps, but if it's just slow slow internet then streaming might just be too much for it.
Good luck.
