Was there not a case in America where a plane crashed into icy water and a little boy went under the ice. He was there for an hour and he was revived with no damage. I just seem to remember it vaguely though knowing me i am probabilly wrong i ussually am.

No, you are right. I also remember it.
I also saw a program not so long back, where a lad in Canada, had decided to walk home after leaving a pub. He never arrived, and when they found him along the road, he was dead. I can't remember it all, but they got him to some hospital and resurrected him. The doctor expected him to be somewhat brain damaged, but he made a full recovery. I think his brain cells sort of went into hibernation mode due to the freezing conditions.
