Epc2100 help I have hit a problem

This is from an older post, I am having the exact same problem does anyone know how to solve it?

"I am trying to to hack my first Webstar EPC2100, I load up Hyperterminal as wattsy's tut says, get the option press 1, 2 or p and no matter what i try it does not stop when i press p this is driving me insane any help would be much appreciated thx in advance.

Sounds like the connection is not solid on the pins or you have them the wrong way round i had this problem on a 250 i ended up contacting wayneeboy for a pic of what wire went where. Try swapping the cable over.

From the 232 end it to modem should be

Pin 1 - pin 1View attachment 31233
Pin 2 - pin 2
pin 3 - pin 4 rx
pin 4 - pin 3 tx

Yes I have checked they are all connected right as I am using the audio cable from a pc

Please help!
 
hi m8, change the flow control to none or xon/xoff on the com port setting in hyperterminal and see if that helps
 
thanks gentlex, this solved some of my issue when it wasnt doing anything when i pressed p, 1 or 2
