Dreambox & Netgear Router & Ethernet Cable.

Trying to connect the Dreambox to the internet using Netgear router and ethernet cable. Just get message offline. Amended all the ip addresses, still no joy. Are the any really good sites where I can find step by step indtructios with pictures if possible. (Dumbo here)

have u put the router ip in the gateway?

yep i have. i know i am doing somethinh really stupid. the only option i appear to have is for a lan. in the set up there is

1) IP Which address goes in there, the router or what?

2) Netmask I got from my router.

3) Nameserver, did not change.

4) Gateway Ip address of rouetr.

configure network ticked.

I am using Dreambox 7020 si

2) Netmask I got from my router. should be 255 255 255 000

3) Nameserver, did not change. router 192.168.000.001

4) Gateway Ip address of rouetr. routet 192.168.000.001

hope this helps, the ip of the box can be changed but mine is 009

are you ising a crossover cable m8? if connecting to a router you need a straight cable

u can use either if your going to a router.
