Probably use cheaper components on the clone?

The original was stopped being produced a few years ago so they are all clones now.

i bought a Dreambox DM500-S the other day, its a all black front version
it came preloaded with Commando v14.2
it made me laugh when i saw the mac address on the front of the box
now correct me if im wrong but aint a mac address supposed to be in Hex
i.e. A-F - 0-9
mines got a G in it
MAC: 00:09:34:9G:xx:xx
luckily the receiver has a different proper mac programmed, and the serial numbers on the box and receiver match up
its a pretty nice little receiver all the same, although the commando 14.2 firmware is a little too buggy for my liking, im looking for another image thats heavily featured the same or similar
