digi box help please

can anyone help???....a m8 at work just got a telewest digi box from some guy in the pub he's asked me to do him a card which is no probs,but i did't think i** digital and telewest where the same so i said i would find out for him.

What he's got is a cable digital box, it can't be "hacked" in any way. He's been had!!!

I might be wrong.....anyone else???

I dont know too much about this but I believe digital cable can now be hacked, but it isnt throught the card, it's done by "chipping the box". I'm moving this thread to Cable ** room as it should get a better response in there.

I've seen many posts regarding Cable Digital. some say it can be hacked, others say it can't.

Is there anyone out there who can end all speculation, somebody who actually has a hacked cable digital box? Does it work? How is it hacked? Does it have to be chipped or is it done through the card?

Surely someone must have a definite answer to this one.

I'd also like to know more about this, i've had a chipped analogue box for quite a while now & never really had any probs with it, but i want N** broadband(which is only availiable if you also get the digi **), so i want to make sure i can get either a card or a chipped digi box.

I've heard alot of people say there are cards for N** digi, but nobody ever seems to turn up with the goods <img src="frown.gif" border="0">

What we hearing constantly is same as s k y. Dig cable and the other one just mentioned are NOT as YET accessable. When a true mod, hack, card whatever becomes available then I dare say that you read it here first so just keep posted on this forum.

Yoshi, you can get broadband & run your analogue box too. Just wait a week or 2 after the digibox is fitted , then get a splitter & run them both(watch analogue, use digi for broadband)it does work as I`ve done loads for people....its my job , if you know what I mean <img src="rolleyes.gif" border="0">
