Hello,

I'm just curious, but can anyone explain to me the process one goes through when attempting to circumvent systems such as TUTV?

What hardware / software etc is needed?

Any good guides out there?

hardware like
season interface to intercept and read instructions sent to/from card
titanium card for if you want a clone card if/when its hacked
A card programmer capable of writing to the cards
blocker for if in the meantime you want to get extra tv after you've cancelled
PIC chips for blocker

before all that though, a lot of time reading the archive on this (& others) sites.

Ok. Thanks for the info. I'm sorted on the card programmer bit as I have an Elvis for the old days. But exactly what is a season interface?

It's an interface you can buy all year round

It's a passive device that sits between the box and the card, it connects to a PC and is used to watch the data between box and card.

I see. And where might one acquire one of these devices?

Also, can anyone advise about smartcards? I have one used for work and I'm interested in seeing what's on it. I know some of the things on it (such as current balance for the canteen - it's a cashless system), but I have a sneaking suspicion there is other stuff as well.

Any advice would be greatly received.
