Which version of the Cyclone player are you using?

The original Cyclone HD 1TB does not support WMV, the newer Cyclone HD2 does. Both support NTFS.

The MPEG-4 problem may be down to the container; only .AVI, .XVID and .DIVX file formats are supported on the older model.

not sure what model it is, got it off ebay (320617222897) it does say it plays wmv and mp4 though.

Sumvision have several players under the Cyclone brand, and the specs can differ largely. The model shown in the pic on the ebay listing looks to be the "MKV2 enclosure" yet the text says it is the "MKV enclosure", which appears to have the same spec but looks different. However, it should actually say on the top of the player the model that it is.

Either way, I'd suggest seeing if there is a firmware update (though be sure to get the correct one for your model).
