Custom built PC

Can I make one final sugestion, change socket-a for socket 754, you'll save money and get the benifits of nf3

ECS K8 NVIDIA Socket 754 DDR400 AGP Quickfind code: 90410 £ £27.05
AMD Sempron 2600+ (SDA2600BABOX) L2 Cache 128KB skt 754 Retail Box Quickfind code: 92784 £38.93

After a re-think would this processor and motherboard be compatable?

AMD Sempron 3100+ (SDA3100BABOX) Skt754 256kb Cache 90nm Retail Boxed Processor With 3 Year Warranty Includes Heatsink and Fan. Quickfind code: 79191 £55.65 £65.39 inc VAT

And

ECS K8 NVIDIA Socket 754 DDR400 AGP Quickfind code: 90410 £ £27.05......Or possibly a better one with RAID and better spec?

Also would the below be compatible with the 2 above?

Kingston 512MB DDR PC3200 400MHz CL3 049294 £23.59 x2 = £47.18

ATX Gaming Case in Black 091831 £34.99 (will the 350W PSU be big enough?)

LG GSA-4167BAL 16x DVD±RW Dual Layer (Black) 097237 £24.16

Mitsumi OEM Black Internal Floppy Drive 062047 £3.34

MSI Mx4000-T128 AGP 128MB DDR TV-Out 058189 £20.44

Western Digital WD2000JB SE 200GB 7200RPM ATA/100 8MB Cache - OEM Quickfind code: 40468 £52.76 £62.00 inc VAT

My head is really done in atm with all the info & spec you guys have suggested (no dis-respect intended) and I need to get a move on with ordering as it is getting near chrimbo and dont want to dissapoint the bairn if I dont get it running . I really want to challenge my first custom build machine by yours truly......as Dutchy has built all my other machines 100% in the past, but I need to build this one all by myself just to know that I can do it. Undoubtably I will get you chaps helping me out all the way and this will be much appreciated.

Good Luck and take your time, I always put cpu/memory and heat sink onto board before fitting it in the case, it's alot easier IMO ;) Just rest it on the sheet of foam that will be in the M/B box on the kitchen bench or sommit ;)

The case as well will probly need the adapter plate removed and the one suplied fitted, not a big job but you will wonder why the board does not fit if you forget ;)

I pick up me bike in an hour so my palms are quite sweaty as well : mr ed :
