Hi all, a bit of help needed here.

I want to copy some PS1 games however when I attempt to do a straightforward disc copy with nero the games do not play, no doubt something to do with the protection.

Therefore what I want to do is create a bin/cue file so that I can burn it as an image file with nero but I have no idea what piece of Software I need to use to create the image.

Any suggestions please??

Thanks in advance.

searched an searched

found this quote in another forum cosmoss, dont know whether it will help or not??

"yeah that will work, but I prefer Daemon Tools. It makes a fake Cd/DVD drive on your computer, which you can then load your image into and then use nero to "copy" that cd image.
I assume you are using DVD2SVCD which makes bin/cue files.
cheers"

use CDRwin for that. This is the typical program for making cue/bin files.

Here we go:

Select Extract Disc/Tracks/Sectors

1. Select Disc Image/cuesheet.

2. Select the correct drive which you are going to read from.

3.Select destination of image file I.e. c:\Psxgames\whatever

4. Select these settings.

Always copy in RAW mode

Error recovery should be set to `ABORT`

Jitter correction should be set to `AUTO`

Subcode anaylsis should be set to `AUTO`

Read retry count should be set to '0'

5. This area will show you the information on the CD in the drive.

6. Selecting the lowest read speed the better.

7. Select start to start reading the CD to the Hard drive.

Once you have finished Reading the information to your Hard drive you must now write it back to a blank Cd-R.

1. Select the drive you wish to write to the blank Cd-R with.

2. You need to load the cuesheet, this is stored on the Hard Drive where you saved it eariler on.

3 .The record speed should be set as low as possible i would recommend about 4x or lower.

4. You can select to have the test mode ticked which will do a test burn before the real thing

5. This the cuesheet that you have loaded into the program.

6. This is the information of the cuesheet.

7. Once everything is OK then select Start recording.

I hope it works

Cheers Angel !
