CD & DVD copying vcd

Just got good copy of monsters ink and tryed to copy using nero and clone cd using a yamaha 2200e and a hp9300 to burn them. The origional copy works fine but my copy wont do anything other than display insert cd. This has been tryed on two multiregion dvd players with the same problem!!!!!!!!!<br />Has anyone had same problems????<br />ps. i have also tryed 3 types of media

Hi Didgi i had same problem a while ago, i had to copy onto cd-rw disc to get it to work in dvd player. it would work on pc no prob tho.<br />Princo cd-r work as well. strange but true.

didgi got the same movie on vcd had no trouble copying with nero or vob just using cheap unbranded media even joined the files and converted it to dvd with menus etc did the standalone players say no disk or pcb ?

You havent got Cd Labels on have you . I had a this kinda problem with a Sony DVD player just would read Disc's with Labels on

Digi, as a last resort you could try copying the main .dat files manualy to your hard drive then start Nero. Select Video CD and drag your .dat files into the bottom window. Just burn then at about x8. You can also add your own personalised start up menu to the film using this method. Do this at the begining after selecting Video cd.

Thanks for all your help guys, but the problem seemed to be that i was reading and writing the vcd to quick. Read at 1 speed and burned at 8 speed now works perfect. THANKS!<br />ps. also tryed speccys, worked a treat ! <img src="smile.gif" border="0">
