confusion with ios version

hey, i recently downloaded mario kart for the nintendo wii pal version, to burn my wii games i normally use wanniko's ios patcher 1.1 to change the ios version to 249 and then remove the the update thingy, and then i burn my games using imgeburn. games i hve downloaded work flawlessly using this method, however this particular game is giving me problems. ive patchd it twice now and burnt it twice but i get an error when loading it thru backup launcher, something strange i noticed is when i apply the ios patch, the current ios version is -1 on the game? is there even such an ios version lol,other ppl who have downloaded the game havn't had any problems and im now confused as to what else i should do
