i agree i spoofed my mac pc mac and routers mac and changed modems mac now its nearly ok ...

using a sb5100 modem, done as your readme.txt said, the program said config worked but when i tried redownloading it was still set to 5000k, i have telnet etc setup correctly

The readme says the only supported modems are Ambit 250/255.

I have done 0 research into the Fibercox and Sigma firmwares so I can't help you with that.

I don't have a modem to test it out on, However it should be easy to tweak, but I'll need beta testers incase something goes wrong.
It seems to me its just a case of loading a webpage to change the config, and rebooting the modem via telnet. (I think)

If you know more about it, then PM me. I will see if I can add it in or not.

If someone can post a telnet output on the Surfboards what would be a start.
Should look something like this :

Try the reset command to see if it works on that.
