Hi Mav

just i thought, have you tried using a patch on it m8.

as i know there is a Ntsc to pal patch but i'm not sure if there is a protection patch.

as i say it's just a thought m8.

Not familiar with monsters but you could try copying an image to HD first instead of on the fly. I find this more reliable. If youu give Monkeyspunks a shout he may be able to assist you.

Never tried Monster's m8 but I also had a problem with Fifa 2002, used a program from kazaa in the end called PSXcopier 2000. Worked a treat. I could mail you this but it's over 3 megs

write to the hard drive first m8 and make sure that sub channel data and audio are ticked that should do it!

thanks for replys

Ah, it sounds like a new burner is called for. Something a bit more versatile.

that might be the answer.....so what do u suggest?
i need something that will do the job at copying psx,ps2 and music cd's and not going to cost me an arm and a leg external if possible

Hi,

If interested I have a LiteOn 24x10x40 IDE CDRW and in my opinion one of the best for the price (now selling approx £85 inc VAT and P&P in UK)

Check out the Clone CD site for its capabilities with the software (then compare others)

Also read some time ago that these are Plextor rebranded LiteOn ????

Not trying to knock you digiperson or anything like that that but for a little extra the guy could get something decent. From experience, the liteon is not even half decent.

the one i`ve found works on all software and no coasters is the YAMAHA.i`ve just bought the CRW-3200E peeeeerrrrfect.and on win xp use it like a floopy....now i need to go and buy some real place mats

Speccy, have used writers for a number of years now and found this LiteOn better than others for the price (also heard it is made by Plextor but badged LiteOn).

Had a SCSI Yamaha before this and LiteOn (IDE) much, much better with its writing capabilities.

Anyway, each to their own, all I gave was my opinion (same as you did)

Whatever Mav decides hope we all helped in some way

cheers

you've all helped alot but there has been that many good and bad points brought up about diffrent cdr-w's dont know which will be best.......anyway still looking around and waying up the odds and hopefully soon i will have a nice new cdr-w
thanks again for all the info m8's
