Hi Pt1,
Looks like i am missing some core files from the ubuntu setup, mkfs.jffs2, makeinfo, flex, bison, mksquashfs 2.0, g++, makeinfo, I am kinda new to the linux front and could use some direction as to which ripositry these files reside in for downloading. Thanks in advance...

your are missing:
Makeinfo
g++
bison
flex
mksqahfs

You can install them from a menu...
