SCOTT Brown took on his captain’s duties on Wednesday afternoon and launched the new Nike 2010/11 home kit at Celtic Park.

He unveiled the Hoops kit, which will be sponsored by Tennents, and hopes his team will be bringing the league title back to the East End of Glasgow wearing the strip next season.

The new kit will be available for supporters on July 14, 2010, but can now be pre-ordered at any Celtic store.

Re: Celtic's nrw kit

You'd have thought they would have made the highest hoop green rather than white so that the collar stands out. It's lost with white at the top.
HH.

or a green trim round the edge of collar,

also the diamond pattern on the green hoops looks a bit like zero's, is it some sort of subliminal message to remind them what they won last season and get them to try harder.:proud:

Celtic miss Steven Reid, wait for Landry N'Guemo

Celtic target Steven Reid has joined West Brom and the Glasgow club have until Monday to exercise their option to buy Landry N'Guemo from Nancy.

Reid had been in talks with Celtic after being freed by Blackburn Rovers.

But the 29-year-old Republic of Ireland international has signed with the club he helped win promotion while on loan.

Celtic remain keen to buy N'Guemo, but the on-loan midfielder will be back on the market on Monday unless they can agree a fee with his French club.

Nancy believe they can find a club willing to pay their valuation of £1.8m for N'Guemo, who is heading for the World Cup finals with Cameroon.

Having already paid a substantial loan fee for N'Guemo, Celtic are thought to be offering £1.2m.

The 24-year-old joined Celtic on a season-long deal in July and went on to play 43 times under Tony Mowbray and then caretaker manager Neil Lennon.

Lennon has yet to hear whether he will be given the job full-time, although he this week begins a series of "meet the fans" sessions planned throughout the summer.

However, he has been involved in chasing transfer targets and Sol Campbell, who has been offered a new contract by Arsenal, has been prominent in his thoughts.

The 35-year-old England defender has been quoted as saying he is considering the switch to the Scottish Premier League, but Reid has decided to remain in England's top flight.

Midfielder Reid spent the final two months of the season on loan at the Hawthorns.

He helped West Brom to automatic promotion from the Championship and now, after passing a medical, has signed a two-year contract with the option of a further 12-month extension.

It's pretty hard to see but I think it's an 1888 pattern in the green.

Looks like they've taken off the quote about it not shrinking to fit inferior players. Just as well with the useless mob we've got now.

I would imagine that is what our new strip will look like - only with red hoops. Looks far nicer in red.....dont you agree?
