Movie-goers will soon be able to sample alcoholic-flavoured popcorn while they watch over-18 movies.
Cinema chain Odeon has announced plans to trial the alco-popcorn at late screenings of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre this Halloween.
The firm is offering Sambuca and Irish Cream flavours - as well as traditional sweet and salted - at a number of its branches.
Odeon says it will consider introducing further exotic tastes if the trial flavours prove a hit.
Each box will have only a minimal alcohol content but will only be available to adults.
Odeon's Richard Storton said: "We'll obviously be limiting it to 18 certificate films - strictly for adults only."
Branches in Kingston upon Thames, Newcastle upon Tyne, Leicester, Glasgow, Southampton and Coventry will offer the popcorn.
