Best messenger

Hi guy's..what's the best messenger service u guys use?..Windows live messenger no longer works .I use to use Howard's e-mail notification but slow and not instant

There are quite a few that work across platform pc and mobile/tablets. Viber and telegram are really good and usual ones such as hangouts, whatsapp.
