Backing up a blu ray movie

Just wondered if its possible to back up a blu ray film to ps3 hdd ive just tried it in back up manager it shows up as dev_bdvd but wont let me back up like a game.....hope i just havent answered my own question......

yes but through ps3's otheros, so if u have updated past 3.15 then you cant
