Hi guys, a bit of help needed here.

I've been downloading some films in .avi format and want to burn them to VCD's however from what I understand this is only possible from a .mpg file.

Is there any software available to convert my avi files to mpg and if so which is the best to use.

Also any suggestions on the best software for playing them back, I've tried windows media player but I'm only running a 600mhz processor and the picture doesnt keep up with the sound, I've also tried DivX player 2.0 but seem to get a lot of background noise on it.

Any help much appreciated.

Do you use THE PLAYA ???<br />Its working fine for me...i have also a 600 MHZ pc (my laptop) and i have no problems. For watching the movies is use most of the time the player from kazaa...cause in media-player it is too slow and sometimes stops the movie and the sound not. lol

For your converting:TMPGEnc is the best Converter for Video-files.

Thanks Dark Angel, do you have a link to download TMPGEnc
