Hi,

Got some films on my PC in AVI format. Is there anyway I get watch on my TV via DB7025?

How would I get the DB to access the files over my local network?

DB on ethernet to router and PC connected to router wirelessly.

Thanks

hello m8:)

have you got a hdd in your box

if you have you could ftp them over and use the media player in the dreambox

i think it plays them kind of files :)

the media player is in most images

or you could try the mounting the dreambox to see your pc

but ive had trouble doing this myself ,you might have better luck than me

unless some one else has had it working:)

hi delectable; once you have wireless coming into connections, be sure to sacrifice picture quality. Mounting your pc in dreambox will be the better option but i am also having problem mounting mine.

Actually, I tried this myself last night with my 7025.

From googling I was led to believe that putting an AVI on the 7025 hard drive won't work as the plugins can't support AVI's

They will support mpeg1 and 2 but I had various lockup problems.

However, what I did get working well was below.

Using LT image (Third Challange)
Install latest VLC on to your computer
Install LT Stream to Dream plugin on the 7025
Install LT streaming tool onto your PC

And I got AVI's playing perfect from the PC to the 7025, with pause/fast forward/Re-wind etc.

More details in the link below, make sure you set up a folder on your pc with full sharing rights for your AVI's

I FTPed the AVi file to the movie directory on the hard drive and tried to view through the media centre option (or what ever its called) but the file is not visible.

That's because you need a AVI compatable player on your DM, such as the LT stream to dream plugin Bosell mentioned.
There are other similar plugins for other images that will also play AVI's on your DM.
