If I wanted to make an Apple Mac,just what components (if any) are the same as in a PC? I know that they use a different Motherboard an chip but is the video, sound, modem etc compatible with that of PC? Any help on this would be very welcome. :) :)

The G4 and later Apple systems will take the same sort of ram, hdd and some AGP cards although only the Fire series I know for a fact. Usually on the hardware packaging it will have a Apple friendly logo.

If you aren't bothered about buying hybrid hardware you can obtain almost everything you would need. Motherboards maybe the thing which is hardest to get.

But remember Apple/iMac/G4/iBook are owned designs and patented unlike the open PC industry and therefore I don't know where you would stand legally?
