Hi m8's,
I am currently supporting a gentleman who has MS.
Normally i take my lead from the service user i am supporting, for reasons i will not go into that is not a option at the moment. We have a system on a morning that finishes with a few stretches and exercises ...
foot extension forward and backwards,
ankle rotation,
leg and knee stretches,
sit to stand exercises using a vertical stander.
i have been supporting this gentleman for almost 2 weeks now, the swelling in his ankles and feet is all but gone, and i have seen a increase in his confidence and own sense of worth.
if any body knows of any other exercises that are known to be a benefit to people with MS please let me know, i would like to increase the gentlemans options and hopefully soon he will feel confident enough to see a trained physio.
Many thanks in advance @manx
