The draw for the 2014 World Cup finals has thrown up some interesting meetings with Roy Hodgson’s England facing a tough route to the knockout stages.
England have been drawn in Group D and will open their campaign against Italy in the Amazonian city of Manaus before facing Uruguay in Sao Paulo on 19 June and Costa Rica in Belo Horizonte on 24 June.
The opening match of the tournament will see hosts Brazil go up against Croatia, while Mexico and Cameroon have also been drawn in Group A.
A repeat of the 2010 World Cup final will take place during the group stages with reigning champions Spain set to renew rivalry with the Netherlands, with Chile and Australia completing Group B.
