The first gen is better IMO because you can git a hard drive inside it but if you want it to play hd you need to buy a little mini pci board that plugs in inside it, ask whether it's had it fitted already?

No problem! If you want to open it up you have to pull the rubber cover up in each four corners.

Perfect for running xbmc.
i like what i have seen. i take it 2nd gen as not got a harddrive does it back up to the itunes
on the pc.
first gen does any harddrive fit it, is there a limit to how big the drive is, where do i get a
mini pci board from, is there a certain one.

This is card the you need for HD, Basically you have to take the wireless card and replace it with this.

get you get netflix with 1st gen, does it stream staight from the iphone.
I was told that everyones selling because mega upload was shut
and its the end of most the good stuff on a modded atv.

Still some good stuff out there, like 1Channel, Icefilms(But limted at the mo), Fastpasstv T3, Free Cable, LiveStreams, Project Free TV & new one What The Furk.
