i also seen a dell inspiron 6400 for 501
but when i go to there site its 549 now that was dual core.

so much deals going on at the moment
pity it wasnt for me

Acer = Happy shopper brand IMO

Their after sales & repairs, SUX big time. Mines been back three times before it got fixed correctly .

Avoid Acer :Chainsaw: if possible

ok im looking at the dell one and the toshiba one
dell is 120 gig hard drive but only 512 memory £549 offer ends soon (1 stick 512 )
toshiba is 60 gig hard drive but 1048 memory £499

i think i will go with the dell as ive got the inspiron 6000 and never had any trouble with it and its a pritty hardy machine the memory is easiest in my opinion to upgrade

dell inspiron 6400 for me
i have 2
only thing i find bad with dells is
the dvd drives are crap
but overall performance great.
toshiba laptops have very good burners
but overall poor performance.

each to his own m8

i dont use burner on dell
i extract to extenal and burn on my desktop
hope this helps
ps the dual core is very good
