got a ZGemma H2 and was some channels the pictures sort of breaks up - not freezing like you get with magic lines

Signal is 72% and BER is 10% - could the BER being high cause this ?

Id say signal is boarder line weak mate in your case. To verify this what in the signal strength on the transponders with channels that dont break up ?

Have you any droppers on any equipment modem for example ? If so remove them and make sure your using a quality splitter in the 5-1000 with good quality cable.

cable is straight out of the box on wall into H2

could also be to much signal.
BRR should be 0 for a good reception.
my SNR sticks at 63% on all channels, i get every channel perfect, signal levels arnt accurate and varies different receivers and images.

i would try an anttenuator first to see if your signal is to strong, its cheaper than buying a signal booster to find out you dont need 1.

Straight out of the wall ! You have got a filter inline usually behind a white wall box internally in the house ?

Regardless it seems weak at 72% unless as with other zgemma models its inaccurate.

The breakup you describe is caused by weak or strong signals.

A few typos corrected as i cant figure out how to edit posts yet.

is your the zgemma then mate as with anything ive tried i would not even get a lock at 63% but the zegmmas are notorious for incorrect signal readings.

No mate ive got an Edision os mini +
The SNR and AGC stay at the same value regardless of what channel or any splitters added ot removed.
My Xtrend et8000 was the same with satellite.
SNR was always at 18% regardless.

It must be a driver related problem.
but they always say the signal values arnt calibrated so they are only there as a rough guide to tweak the levels and not to be taken as a true reading.

It is definitely bad screenshot quality!

Are all the frequencies showing the same AGC?

If someone else with the same receiver confirms that it shows the same values on different frequncies , we can ignore the readings.

Best way is to get a meter from a Virgin engineer.

You could always try your box at another property to and see if things change.
