Nand dump in this one for ur original system menu :)

Now select SoftMii Nand Browser and Load the app. Once loaded please navigate to the following directory: TITLE/00000001/00000002/ Now press up on the dpad 3 times and then
press A. - Now you need to select your original system menu app file. If you are NTSC , the file is
00000042.APP or if you are PAL, the file is 00000045.APP. Press the + button once you highlight your regions
app and it will then be copied to the SD card. Press HOME to exit the app once file written to SD msg appears. NOTE : This is your backup to restore your system menu back to normal using SoftMii Tweaks.

I 'bricked' one yesterday by installing the original system menu then pressing Home, I should have powered down with the power button after successful install message. Good job I had preloader on as it booted homebrew channel for me to try again :) All good now.

Except the damn Simpsons game lol (Ntsc).

I'll have a go at this one later.
 
i tried a few ntsc games i could get to play but they only played in black and white then my pal games wouldnt work changed a setting in hacks and got pal to work but ntsc just got black screen never loaded but now using pal games throu disc loader channel and ntsc throu gamma untill someone can maybe say how they get pal and ntsc working together throu disc channel

i think the best way to do it is accept the starfall type hacks in ARC Mod5 then use the latest minimal hacks.ini included with Softmii 2.1, enable/disable a few in there see what happens*

my first mistake was saying no to starfall type hacks i think.

* u might need to remove ur hacks first with hack remover to use the new .ini

Have put the new Softmii v 2.1 onto my SD card but when I get to the bit about installing hack, it says there is not a hack.ini to be found on the SD card, there is both the PAl & NTSC one on there.

Any help please?

rename hacks.iniPAL to hacks.ini
 
Thanks m8 but copied & paste hacks. ini config file form Softmii ver 1 & all working now

you ought to have used the 2.1 .ini included with Softmii 2.1 as it's a whole package. ;) my opinion for the day.

2.1 has been taken down cause of a bug, bug fix soon, trying to find out the bug is

softmii 2.1.1 now up guys, the last version caused a few bricks, the last files got corrupted on upload lets hope now sorted cause this is now my preferred way to mod!!
 
All worked well except for the downgrader didn't work for me all looked like it worked and l thought it downgraded and took me 1 hour to figure l wasn't on 3.2,try looking for for 00000045.app if your on on 3.4 and not 3.2 like l thought l was coz there there's 29 folders in TITLE/00000001/00000002/:nopity: .sorted it with the latest downgrader and all went good >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>nice.

I want to try softmii. Do I have to take off the gamma loader first? My wii is 3.2 and modded using the softmod for dummies. I'm not sure if I should go from step 2 or 3.

go from phase 2 m8. delete the channel once you have Softmii'd ;)
