Query about RAM

At the moment i am running a 512RAM and also a 256RAM, so running 768RAM in total.

Is t true that doing this, the ram will not run at optimum speed and would be better to take out the 256 and just leave the 512?

whats the best thing to do in this situation?

I think i'm right in saying if the ram is Two different speeds it will run at the slower speed.

You're better leaving both in. As long as they're both the same type of ram then it's all fine. If you remove the 256, the machine will definately run slower than it does now.

Bulldog is correct, the sizes shouldn't make any difference, but if one stick of ram is 166mhz and the other is say 233mhz the system will see both as 166 clock speed

The BIOS should probably be able to tell you.
