New File Added: TM 5302 HD (New Original Software) 28-04-2013

Last official software release Jan 2013
Technomate Support - TM-5302 HD

So do not expect the latest download from the Download Center has solved any of the outstanding issues looks like the 1st attempt at correcting the Viaccess on 18-04-13 did not work that is no surprise this patch 28-4-13 offers no info as to the outstanding problems just another attempt at fixing Viaccess,

I will not be testing any more software for the TM5302HD until I receive a reply from Technomate to my message posted on the Download Centre site titled:

"TM5302HD normal receiver functions failure report"

E-Mail sent to Technomate:-

The standard satellite receiver functions are not working the latest software upgrade current software does nothing to progress the stability & reliability of the TM5302HD

After extensive testing the results look very bad for the TM5302HD

Still not working correctly on the TM5302HD with the latest software:

PVR player timer does not start & PVR does not play back without freezing,

YouTube still not working,

Blind Scan still missing 50% of active transponders,

Blind Scan erratic does not complete Blind Scan,

Latest software not suitable for correction of current receiver errors,

I bought the TM5302HD to replace my old TM6900HD Combo Super+ as sadly after several years the remote has worn out I was reluctant to replace the RCU hoping that that the last software issue would solve the current issues with the TM5302HD

My main use for the TM5302HD is for compiling accurate satellite charts for Flysat & Lyngsat that I have done for several years 1st off with the TM1500CI Super+ & the last few years with the TM6900HD Super+

Unfortunately the TM5302HD despite having a good info display for fec,DVB-S2 MPEG-4 the TM5302HD is let down by the inconsistent Blind Scan that misses 50% of the active transponders my other Satellite receivers used to find with ease,

Consequently I am unable to use the TM5302HD to compile satellite charts as the Blind Scan misses so much for example when scanning 12500 to 12750 on 28.2 east Astra 2 the TM5302HD only finds 50% of the active transponders this really is not good enough for a normal receiver function to fail so badly,

Good points such as the ability of the Blind Scan to find very low symbol rate transponders below 2000 kbps is exceptional but when I check the data base on any satellite I find the TM5302HD has only found half the active transponders on the satellite that other HD satellite receivers such as the TM6900HD find with ease albeit within a limited range of 2,200 to 45,000,

I have previously corresponded with your Technical dept with regards to the TM6900HD Super & was pleased to have contributed idea’s on improving the reliability of this receiver,

Some improvements to the original TM5302HD with regards to the Blind scan were effected as the original software was very limited as to what parts of the Ku band one could Blind Scan the current software needs to be re-written from scratch to eliminate the inherent errors to make the Blind Scan reliable & accurate,

I will be the 1st to praise this receiver when you have achieved receiver reliability all the software issued so far quite frankly is not of a high enough standard to warrant the Technomate logo,

I hope you take on board this e-mail to correct the out standing issues with the TM5302HD so that i can again continue to compile satellite charts using a top quality Technomate,

@ Merlin I will also e/mail Tm and see if it will receive some form of response. jamsb.
