I have a tm600 running oscam and cccam together. I need to delay the start of cccam so that oscam starts up first so as to get oscam to open the card reader.

How can I go about this?

On the Gemini DM500 image, they put a time delay in the startup script between both cams starting. I don't know if this is possible with the TM 600 but worth a try.

Until you get a proper answer, can you not start them up manually. The log file gets too big and that is why some receivers need a restart. Can this not be saved onto a usb drive/network mount?

You can only start them together m8. Unfortunately I know nothing about changing scripts so I wouldn't know where to start. I'm using a ur image from march 2010

Its a solution but not a great one, if you need to use oscam on a tm600 with cccam, then use an old version, the newer ones look for the time/date from the box which it doesn't pick up straight away and then uses cccam, I have a tm600 running oscam+cccam213- the one you can d/l from the blue panel.

I want them both to run consectutively so individual install is no good

Using the post from Yosser, I installed OSCAM r1851 + cccam 2.1.3 for 0002(new).

On the startup script it has the following default commands, so in theory it should start Oscam first, unless the system date is wrong (for newer versions of oscam)

/var/bin/oscam_r1851 &
/bin/sleep 5
/var/bin/CCcam_2103

If we enter the following commands by telnet or insert it in the startup script, then jobs's done. (Credit to JS940 and Fes786)

/sbin/rdate -s time.mit.edu

Could someone teach me how to add the above command into the startup script?

I think I have sussed it. A bit of copy and paste!

I inserted the following script into the same directory (/var/bin/) as oscam and cccam and it started up fine. The script has been compressed to allow uploading.

Oscam 1.20 6754 as well as 1.00 4600 tested.

Just to confirm to update the oscam version do i just d/l an enigma1 version and rename to the same as original and then 755 mod it?

spot on. Replace the bin file, rename it the same and chmod 755. then restart

nice work m80. I have now gone to using a dm500hd. Do you think it would work in that?

It won't work on the 500HD as that is an enigma2 machine. The emulator names are also different.

The best solution would be to create the date update script and have it run before the softcams are run. I am afraid that this is out of my league.
