Lip synch on HD channels and missing CH4 HD

Hi,

Thanks to the help from some very kind people on this site Ive managed to get my DM800Pro pretty much up and running. That is all apart from a couple of niggles that maybe someone could point me in the right direction.

The first is sometimes, but definitely not all the time, I seem to get lip synch issues on HD channels. It seems to be most common on ITV HD. Ive played around with the AC3 delay settings on the setup menu, but the synch seems to drift around a bit, (sometimes its spot on but other times its miles out)?

The second niggle is that I dont seem to be able to pick up Ch4 or Ch5 in HD. I get the program information a decent SNR, (around 70-75%), but no picture?

I have seen the above problems with both the original Gemini image that came pre-installed on the box, and with Dream Elite Phoenix that Ive since changed it too.

Are your channel listings/bouquets definitely up to date...could be you dont have the right frequencies for channel 4 HD or Channel 5HD...Or does this issue still occur when you run a manual scan as well ??

Try a full manual scan of 28.2E and check all services you might have duplicate C4 HD and C5 HD do all of them display blank picture ?

Whats the SNR on the channels on which you get lip synch ? Are they all on the same transponder ?

Funny I get lip sync on ITV1 hd, its just slightly out and it annoys me! All other channels are ok

I loaded Rats latest bouquet only Wednesday after I changed the image. I also did a full scan after the image change but those two channels still stay black. Could it be an issue with the card I am getting the C line from, (all the other channels are there, just not these two)?

The SNR seems very steady on all the channels at around 75% and I havent noticed it drift. Its funny that Alonso has also noticed it on ITV3HD as well, maybe its that particular channel, but it has definitely 'wandered' on some of the movies, (but only in HD)?

BTW, sorry but I dont know what you mean by being on the same transponder? They all come off the same LNB which is pointing at 28.2 if thats what you mean?

Hi mate, did you get anywhere with the lip sync? Its really starting to do my head in now, cant watch ITV2 hd without it looking like its dubbed!

Nope sorry. Its the same with the old mans 800 as well. Tried different images but they all seem the same. Sometimes its fine but other times its way out, (and will drift when watching a film so its not as if its channel specific). Think I'll give he supplier a shout as got both units from the same place. See if he's heard of anything.
