15.8/16e missing channels?

When I do a scan of 16e, only 17 tv channels are found it doesn't matter if i switch between free and paid, all other sats are fine, any ideas?

Try between 10:30 and 11:30 morning sounds crazy but works for me.

U dont say if you are using auto scan, if u are try a manual scan.

Type of scan:single satellite
Network scan:yes

Now I know something is wrong, I've just downloaded a preset channel list to the receiver for 16e and I'm not getting any signal for 90% of the channels...

is your dish slightly offline? as 16E is a weaker sat in between 2 very powerfull satellites, the slightest misalaignment will be amplified by the stronger signals on each side drowning out the signals that you want

I only aligned it the other week after the high winds, but I'll double check in the morning DD

As usual DD you were spot on, it was only out be maybe 0.5o but it surely was enough to miss certain transponders,

using trigenometry, you can work out that for every single degree the dish is out, it is actually pointing nearly 400 miles away FROM the satellite youre aiming for, so if thats also making it point towards a stronger signal, and thinking about the tolerance levels in the beamwidth of the dish, this is why its easy to lose 16E
