Can someone please clarify what the recording options are for the tm7100HD ?
- Record 1 satellite , watch another Sat channel while recording
- record 1 dvbt, watch another sat channel while recording
- and so on ...

What are all the possibiliteis of recording with the 3 tuners (2 DVBS2, 1 x DVBT)

I need this info in order to help someone who has recording problems. (must surely be his USB recording medium but hey we have to start somewhere to be sure )
Thanx in advance n!

Explain a bit more
is it motorise or fix dish
with diseqc switch
or just one satellite one lnb
after your full explanation I will help

The setup :
Twin LNB x 3
2 x Diseqc Switch 4/1 Anttron
Astra 1 - Astra2 - Astra 3
DVBT also connected by inhouse Antenna

Using a Fat32 (TM) formatted usb stick

TM7100, Twin setup LNB
all connection were tested individually on both tuners.

What are the possible ways of recording at the same time when you watch another program ?

Antenna setting for 4 satellites
Case 1> “4x1 Diseqc switch” + “Loop cable”
Usage:
Dish connection = “Loop through”
Limitation:
If you are recording a channel on Sat1-Freq1, you can watch any channel only on Sat1-Freq1
The reason is that the 2nd tuner should not control the disecq switch or LNB (13/18V, 22KHz).
3 channels recording:
You can record 3 channels and watch another channel but all those channels must be on the single sat and freq.
Case 2> “4x1 Diseqc switch” x 2 + “2x1 Splitter” x 4
Usage:
Dish connection = “Twin”
Limitation:
If you are recording a channel on Sat1-Freq1, you can watch 1) any channel on Sat1-Freq1,
2) any channel on Sat1 but same Polarisation (H/V) and same Band (Low/High) or 3) any channel on Sat2,Sat3,Sat4.
3 channel recording:
It is very hard to explain what channels you can record and watch, because there are too many cases, so I recommend this configuration should not be used.
If all recorded channels are on the single sat and freq, you can watch or record another channels 1) on same sat and freq, 2) on same sat and another freq, but same polar and same band, or 3) on another sat.
If one channel is recorded on Sat1-Freq1 and the others are recorded on Sat2-Freq2, you can watch or record channels only on Sat1-Freq1, or Sat2-Freq2.Case 3) “32x4 Diseqc switch” with 4 output LNBs
Usage:
Dish connection = “Twin”
Limitation:
No limitation on 1 channel recording + another channel watching.
i.e. You can watch any other channel while recording one channel.
3 channel recording
If all recorded channels are on the single sat and freq., you can watch or record any channels.
If one channel is recorded on Sat1-Freq1 and the others are recorded on Sat2-Freq2, you can watch or record channels only on Sat1-Freq1, or Sat2-Freq2.
