Nice one, i was going to put mine up the other day but didn't think there would much call for 'em around the Burnley, Nelson, Colne areas. Got ride of all the dead or crap channels i.e. all foreign channels removed. If i were to post it would the epgfilter file be of any use because i could put that in there too. I use the 4 day epg with my own epg file.

Nice one Fergal you must be the same area as me :proud:

In theory, Fergal's Blackburn services and buckets 'should' work in any TW 6952 area that has migrated to the new Channel Map.

Similarly, my set for Pure netID 00005 attached 'should' work in any 6887 Pure or ex-C&W area now on the new map.

Why don't some of you guys stick your tester's hat on and give it a try? Do NOT forget to back-up your existing files, before overwriting them with the new ones via FTP. Then just go dBox > Services > Reload Channel Lists and see what happens...

Testing is much more fun than actually watching the drivel they dish up, LOL!

Cheers- AL :)

Just a heads up AL Blackburn is Ex&cw 6952 not TW but they might still work :)

No idea AL all i know is you scan on 6952 on the dbox, starview, etc and also have to tick the ex&cw box in toxic or rhv11 when making a exteeprom for funs and atmega's

ok guys tried what was suggested and put these services and bouquets on my box and i`m in Birmingham, works well apart from regional channles of itv, bbc, channel 4......thanks for this saved me hours of fun sorting channels

cheers fergalsworld, after much messing about i used your bouquet and services to get ppv back. i dont know why but after scanning so many times it just wouldnt pick up ppv but when i used yours it worked.
thanks again

To pick up the ppv you need to set scan services type to "all services".

Thanks for that alien been hunting about for days trying to fix this....easy as that!!

cheers m8.

hi, i'm a newbie to all this.
i lost all channethe other day and did a system rescan with save current bouqets. it came back with all channels but all in the same unsorted folder.
how do i put these codes in to access te bouqets in the correct order? when i looked at my service scan page, it says netid 41048 frequency 666750 symbol rate 6887. i'm also in the blackburn burnley area. do i need to alter the bouqet option before scan.
thanks....
kris

Symrate for blackburn is 6952 not 6887 but that has nothing to do with why all your channels went into one big list
it did that because vm changed the channel map to be the same as most of the country
just ftp the 3 files i have uploaded in my first post to var/tuxbox/config/zapit then in the servixe menu choose reload channel list and they will be sorted into catagories for you.

Hi fergal do you know if these files will work in the edinburgh areaor do i need to get them from somwhere else??

cheers m8!

Ho hum... So much for testing and experimenting...

There's a brand new set of 'pure ntl' services and buckets which should (in theory) work in ANY 6887 area in the country, dished out on a plate, spoon-fed.

Downloads = 0

Says it all, I guess. :err:

Al,

I just tried them in Ox2 and zilch, not one channel cleared.

Pity as recent scans using updated images come back with no channels found.

Any ideas ??

cheers

Well no wonder, Freddy- everyone knows that 0x2 = 0

OK, joke over- where the fook is 0x2 when it's at home, then? Is it a new viagra3 area by any chance? Have you tried a Brute Force with updated C12 or V+3 ??

Cheers- AL

oops ! Oxford 2, not Viagra and yes have tried brute force scans with V3+, C12 updated and Apocolypse

none pick up any channels on any sort of scan, yet my "old" service files will bring up most, but not all of the channels

Oxford 2 looks to be ex-C&W? How long does BF Scan take- half an hour, or a few seconds? Nokia or Sagem?

Sounds like a weak signal issue to me, so let's have your BER / SNR / SIG approx readings from a working encrypted channel running your 'old' services file please.

Lastly, have you tried BFS with the box connected directly to the incoming feed, with a known-good F-to-Coax lead?

Cheers- AL :)
